Psychosocial Consultant
Nancy Cincotta, LCSW, MPhil, CPA is a Psychosocial Consultant in New York, New Jersey and Maine. She has extensive expertise working with children with life-threatening illnesses and their families and bereaved families. She has worked with children and their family members in individual and family work, in groups, and in retreat formats.
Nancy has worked with Camp Sunshine, a retreat for families of children with life-threatening illnesses in Maine, since 1987, and served as the Psychosocial Director from 2001 until the pandemic emerged. Ms. Cincotta was a pediatric oncology social worker, manager, and leader in the Social Work Department at the Mount Sinai Medical Center from 1979-2009.
Nancy is on the social work faculty at Columbia University, the Zelda Foster Studies Program at NYU, and Smith College. She is widely published in this area, has presented extensively on a national and international level, and has received numerous national achievement awards.
